The Basilique in Assisi dedicated to Saint Francis, where he is buried and where very famous painters from XIII and XIV centuries (like Giotto) left their wonderful representations of the life of the Saint and of Christ and his mother Mary.

It is of course a pilgrimage place for Christians.
